OVERVIEW

Peak Ridge began its operations by providing select investors with investment management services related to venture capital investments. Peak Ridge has closed multiple highly successful venture capital funds and the investors in these funds have experienced superior risk-adjusted returns from their investments in agricultural, financial, technology, software, communications and consumer products companies.

INVESTMENT APPROACH

Each Peak Ridge venture capital fund is created around a specific investment objective. Peak Ridge focuses its attention on a pipeline derived from multiple sources including: relationships with academia, regional and national industry groups, a network of venture capital firms with both similar (for co-investment) and dissimilar (to exchange opportunities) investment criteria and through the global personal and business networks of our investment team and firm as a whole. Peak Ridge’s investment approach is to focus first on attractive opportunities that fall within the umbrella of our investment scope. While our venture and growth capital funds are capable of making investments at different stages of a company’s growth cycle, preference is given to those companies that are at or near to the commercialization of their products and for which significant growth is expected in the near term. Ultimately, preference is given to investments where Peak Ridge can add meaningful value to the portfolio company to promote its continued growth and increase the likelihood of a future profitable exit.

		Referral based search engine focused on matching qualified employees with employers. Current Portfolio Investment.
		Software developer of video gaming applications. Current Portfolio Investment.
		Online music website for independent musicians and fans. Hosts in excess of 500k songs and has over 2.0 million visitors per annum. Current Portfolio Investment.
		Developer of hand held electronic device for the rapid detection of bacteria in food and livestock. Current Portfolio Investment.

SELECT INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES

OVERVIEW

In addition to our venture capital activities, Peak Ridge syndicates specific investment opportunities for its clients and has created direct asset investment vehicles for non-conforming investment projects. These opportunities are only available to select, existing Peak Ridge investors. Some examples include the Peak Ridge Metals Equity Special Situations Fund, focused on base metal assets in South America, oil and gas royalty investments in Canada and real estate assets in Ontario, Canada.
